FIND ❤️‍🔥F THE WEEK

Lydia Sam Planetta is cooking. A self-taught wycinanki (a Slavic version of the art form of papercutting) artist working in Canada, Planetta has been playing with the style of her wycinanki folk art pieces the past year, and they still have that punk rock charm and outsider art feel to them — but they’re leveled up! Isn’t that something kids are saying these days? Either way. Her work is dope as hell and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Keep it up comrade!

This work, I believe, is available for purchase if you reach out directly to the artist on Instagram.

✌️ every wednesday, this bonus newsletter with bonus outsider art content, including exhibit listings, personal collection highlights, and news of the week, will be sent to paid subscribers. The weekly ‘This Week in Outsider Art’ newsletter that goes out every Sunday morning continues to and will always be free of charge — enjoy ✌️

Join us Saturday, April 26th in Des Moines, Iowa — from 11am - 2pm the FolkArtwork Collective is pleased to present a popup exhibit featuring self-taught and outsider art available for purchase, a special book reading by Sean Moeller, vintage clothing, a raffle for folk art and more!
