You had me at HAND PAINTED WOODEN FROG, and I fell completely in love when you said IT HAS WHEELS!
This little diddy came into my life on Instagram yesterday from the fine folks at South Road Antiques. And as I said then, and as I’ll say again now — STUNNER.
Long before the internet, before toys with batteries, before all this plastic junk our kids play with for 6-7 minutes and then leave out in the middle of the floor, this frog probably delighted the heck out of some lucky kids.
And now, it’s a gorgeous piece of art. When I first saw it, I didn’t realize it had wheels. And again, while I loved it before, there’s something about the possibility of seeing this frog roll across a fireplace mantel that seems even more exhilarating.
