b. Robert Moore x Esteban Whiteside, Amerikkka’s Looney © “That’s All Folks” (2025) // Acrylic and Oil Stick on Canvas; 36” x 36”

Earlier this summer self-taught artist Esteban Whiteside reached out to me. He was in Des Moines and collaborating with self-taught artist and Iowa native b. Robert Moore. I was hoping to meet up and say hey, but the only problem was I was heading out of town the next day for our “All These Folks” show in Austin, Texas.

I was really hoping to see what these two were about to cook up. Luckily, as I sit down to right this, now know. Their last series was great, this one may be even better?!

This series is an obituary for justice in Amerikkka. Framed in nostalgic Looney Tunes style, “That’s all Folks” becomes a eulogy — a reminder that America keeps rerunning the same sanctioned violence against Black bodies. (via b. Robert Moore x Esteban Whiteside)

I’m such a big fan of these two talented artists. I’ve gotten to know them both over the years, see their artwork up close in personally, and hear their passion as they talk about their art and the issues it addresses. Thrilled to see them collabing again!

This artwork is available for purchase via the artists.
