sorry for the delay in getting this out — happy holidays!

FIND OF THE WEEK

Anna Mond is one of my favorite artists working today. Living and creating art out of Germany, her unique style and expressive works of arts blow me away each and every time I see them. There are a handful, not a ton, of artists and artworks that when I see them, I will audibly let out a “holy shit” or “oh my”. Anna Mond’s work is one of them!

Her latest work here appears to be inspired by the "The Alchemist who has achieved Illumination" Clavis Artis by Zoroaster (1737). This original image, almost as great as Anna Mond’s homage, comes from the alchemical manuscript Clavis Artis, which was published in Germany in the late 17th or early 18th century.

I can’t attest to this work, but any and all work you are interested in purchasing from Anna Mond can be acquired by messaging her directly on Instagram.

✌️ every wednesday, this bonus newsletter with bonus outsider art content, including exhibit listings, personal collection highlights, and news of the week, will be sent to paid subscribers. The weekly ‘This Week in Outsider Art’ newsletter that goes out every Sunday morning continues to and will always be free of charge — enjoy ✌️
