FIND ❤️‍🔥F THE WEEK

Zenaida, Horseman of the Apocalypse (date unknown) // Polychrome modeled clay

My superpower, other than my superhuman strength and freak of nature good looks, is probably being able to stumble upon some really obscure and unique websites featuring some really unique and obscure folk art. Call me lucky!

One minute I’m reading NFL mock drafts (don’t ask) and the next minute I am website called Pinguïno, which came to be after an interior designer and graphic designer got together and travel about scouring “artisans’ workshops throughout Mexico in search of the most intriguing and amusing pieces”.

The whole website and everything on their brings me joy fills these other wise dreary January days in Iowa with warmth and makes me feel like summer days are right around the corner.

They are not. But these lovely works are!

This piece is available for purchase via Pingüino.

✌️ every wednesday, this bonus newsletter with bonus outsider art content, including exhibit listings, personal collection highlights, and news of the week, will be sent to paid subscribers. The weekly ‘This Week in Outsider Art’ newsletter that goes out every Sunday morning continues to and will always be free of charge — enjoy ✌️
