*Fred Smith sculpture at the Art Preserve of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center*

WISCONSIN! I finally made it… Well, I’ve been here many times before. But I’ve never made it all the way up and over to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and I’ve never eaten so many fried cheese curds. Until now.

My wonderful and understanding family trekked through mud and rain and a little bit of shine to traverse many Wisconsin art environments on my to-do list, and the fantastic John Michael Kohler Arts Center, and the incomparable Art Preserve.

In the next few days, I’ll work to upload all my photos and videos and continue to share images on FolkArtwork.art and Instagram. And if you have a chance to travel across Wisconsin!

MIKE COMBS is a self-taught artist from Austin, Texas who for the past decade has been creating “Creeps” on up cycled husk corn crates using spray paint, house paint, and acrylic paint.
