Happy St. Patrick’s Day from self-taught Irish artist Sarah Lee! Enjoy some of Sarah’s wonderfully imaginative and gorgeous original works of art, but now as high-quality fine art prints.

My monster toddlers are big fans of the “Three Monster Toddlers” print; they love standing in the middle of the living room, staring up at them, and picking out which one they are at that current moment. I think they’re a combination of all three at all times.

Plus, some people may think little girls should be seen and not heard, but those people are out of their minds. Sarah has a fantastic way of creating the cutest and spookiest scenes.

SARAH LEE is a self-taught Irish artist and illustrator working in London. Working full-time as a nurse and at a charity that runs workshops for people with mental health conditions. When she isn’t working or spending time with her daughter, Sarah paints every chance she gets.

Minnie Adkins turned 90 years old this week. Happy birthday to the wood carver from Kentucky!

Minnie Adkins is a Kentucky folk artist known for her painted wood carvings of animals – roosters, red foxes, bears, possums, and horses. She was born, 1934, in Isonville, a small town in rural Eastern Kentucky.
While a young child, she was attracted to whittling wooden sticks. Her father gave her a pocketknife and she soon took up a hobby practiced mostly by boys and men.

In 1968, Adkins, her husband Garland, and their son moved, like many families in Appalachia, to Ohio in search of jobs. Homesick, she continued to carve animals and sold her work at local outdoor markets.
Returning to Kentucky in 1983, she began selling her carvings at a craft gallery in Morehead, Kentucky where it was noticed by folk art dealer Larry Hackley who introduced the art work to collectors and galleries outside Kentucky.
