WATCHING AND READING
Here are a few things I’ve been watching this past week:
Hunting for Folk Art along the Cape Breton, Cabot Trail with David Brunt
Huntsville, TX, to Houston, TX | Rare Visions & Roadside Revelations
Here are a few things I’ve been reading this past week:
Salvaging the Historic Tiles of California’s Burned Fireplaces
Deep in the Dark, Damp Woods with Vancouver Island’s George Sawchuk
OH WORD?
Last month at the 2025 Outsider Art Fair I gave some kids a disposable camera and asked them to take photos of their favorite artworks.
Shout out to these kids for liking great art and their parents for taking them to the greatest art fair around. Thanks for giving me permission to share these photos!
Take yer kids to go see awesome weird art and photograph it!!!
SHOUT OUT
Shout out to Gayle Uyagaqi Kabloona, a multi-media artist and advocate for Intuit causes, including setting the record straight when it comes to the thousands of years of Inuit’s treking the Baffin Island in Canada — as well as Kabloona herself who has hiked from Qikiqtarjuaq to Pangnirtung (which spans 1500 kilometers) with others several times!
