FIND OF THE WEEK
What is better than a child’s imagination and intuition? I love watching my six-year-old son create artwork as he recently as created some of my favorite pieces of art ever (of course, I am a little bias, but they are great!). Anytime I see an antique child drawing I am immediately drawn in, blown away, and left with a giant smile on my face.
This chalk/crayon drawing on a brown like paper bag complements this perfectly beat up gold frame. Another excellent find from one of my favorite antique and vintage collectors/dealers — Kate Hackman of Critical Eye.
This piece is currently available for purchase via Critical Eye Finds.
✌️ every wednesday, this bonus newsletter with bonus outsider art content, including exhibit listings, personal collection highlights, and news of the week, will be sent to paid subscribers. The weekly ‘This Week in Outsider Art’ newsletter that goes out every Sunday morning continues to and will always be free of charge — enjoy ✌️

War sucks. I am extremely fortunate and lucky to live somewhere that has not had to experience this first hand. Others, including up to reportedly hundreds of thousands of people who have or will lose their lives due to the genocide happening in Palestine, as well as the millions dealing with the food shortage, lack of shelter, and fear of dying are not so lucky.
This is likely not news to you, but there is currently a war taking place in Ukraine and for decades numerous wars in the Middle East, specifically in Afghanistan which has inspired the following works featured in today’s newsletter.
