FIND ❤️🔥F THE WEEK
Dis me now.
I’m tired, I’m cold (it’s currently blizzard conditions in Iowa!), and I’m crying — both tears of joy and sadness because my time in New York City at the Outsider Art Fair has come to an end. And it was beyond magical.
I’m not functioning well enough to write anything too terribly eloquent or thoughtful, but I did share a few photos of the great people I got to meet, catch up with, and hear from over the course of four days, and I can’t thank everyone enough.
The only downside to having a booth at the fair, was that I wasn’t able to thoroughly check out all the other booths as much as I have in the past. I did get to sneak around one morning before the huge crowds showed up and couldn’t get over this piece at the Powers / Lowenfels booth. A must-see booth at every Outsider Art Fair.

Alongside some James “Son Ford” Thomas sculptures, this hundred year old piece by G.F. Kenney really struck a chord with me. The colors, the use of space, the details and emotions on that little boy who I felt like once or twice over the course of a brilliantly exhausting four day art fair. I love everything about it.
This piece was (and may still be) available for purchase at the Outsider Art Fair in New York City at the Steven S. Powers | Joshua Lowenfels booth. See more on their Online Viewing Room.
