WATCHING AND READING
Here are a few things I’ve been watching this past week:
Here are a few things I’ve been reading this past week:
OH WORD?
Project Onward, a progressive art studio in Chicago is having a huge end of the year clearance sale! From now until February 6th (and while supplies last), grab one of over 600 incredible works of art created by some of my favorite artists.
Now more than ever it is crucial to support the arts, and support living artists making art that reflects the life and times we currently endure. Project Onward aims to “promote art as a powerful tool for understanding and valuing the real and potential contributions of our national population with disabilities”.

SHOUT OUT

Shout out to The Ruffed Grouse Gallery for being featured in Hyperallergic’s 10 Shows to See in Upstate New York This February article. In the run up to the Outsider Art Fair later this month in which you can see the work of self-taught artist Ralph Fasanella, The Ruffed Grouse Gallery is currently showcasing his work in their Upstate New York gallery. Can’t make it upstate, see Ryan Ward and what is sure to be an incredible booth at the Outsider Art Fair in New York City at the end of the month.
FROM THE COLLECTIVE

LINDSAY CARRAWAY’s work reflects a myriad of intertwining elements that blend social, cultural, and political issues. Combined with the intricate landscapes of her dreams and visions, shaped by the lens of her schizophrenic mind. Her work brings stereotypes, controversies and a focus on the human spirit to life. It’s a cross between the worlds terrain and the abstractions of her mind.
