FIND OF THE WEEK
Last week my college art professor reached out to remind me of a documentary I had seen a few years ago about folk artists from Nova Scotia. I immediately consumed the 29-minute documentary again and was reminded how incredibly good it was. (My professor has introduced me to the best art docs, and I’m forever thankful to him for it — shout out to Professor Gardner!) Ever since, I have been hunting for folk art from Nova Scotia. The best place to start has to be with my friends at Black Sheep Gallery in Nova Scotia, which has just the best collection of American and Canadian folk artists, like this magnificent piece from Eddie Mandaggio. Much, much more to come from Nova Scotia. I can promise you that.
This work is available for purchase at the Black Sheep Gallery in Nova Scotia.
