Mary Michael Shelley, Adam and Eve #13 (below, $495.00. 12" x 11.5" x 3") via the artist

(lightning strike). Jokes, jokes, I read the bible every night before bed — which is not entirely true — what is this a Sunday morning show with Kristi Noem???

No, it’s not, thank Adam and Eve but I do love me a good piece of folk art featuring Adam and Eve, which is something I could have just said to save you from my random rambling. But, like a high school essay, I’ve got space to fill here folks.

Dilmus Hall, Adam and Eve with Snake and Apple (ca. 1983–1984) // Paint, putty, and wood; 10 x 10 5/8 x 11 3/4 inches via High Museum of Art

That leads me to over a dozen of some of my favorite pieces of art featuring the uplifting bible story Adam and Eve. I see it everywhere, all the time when staying up late at night searching museum and galleries’ collections, so I figured it was time to write a post here sharing some of my favorites.

**One work below is NSFW, you won’t get fired probably but just saying**
