FIND OF THE WEEK

This little beauty sold, sorry, but it’s too good not to share. What you’re looking at here is a late 19th century gold plated Italian ex voto mask. Everything about this, the symmetry, the flowing lines and attention to detail with the eyes with the little cherub to boot. What a joy.

Again, already sold. So here’s another great one from Critical Eye Finds.

I am a sucker for any animal with wheels on it. So a lovely wooden green crocodile that is perfectly worn and torn with some yellow paint and the cutest little face. Say no more.

With a bit of a similar feel to those old Pennsylvania folk art turtle step stools I really love, and with a most excellent and perfectly aged paint job: sponged black paint animating the dark green, and yellow spots on top of that, plus eyes that remind me of fried eggs! Earlyish 20th century I believe, on antique tin wheels that roll along. — Critical Eye Finds

This “Wonderful Old Painted Wooden Folk Art Crocodile on Tin Wheels” is available for purchase via Critical Eye Finds.
