DES MOINES, you did not disappoint! Thank you to everyone who came to see the artwork of all these incredible artists. I met so many amazing people and heard so much amazing praise about how stunning the “Faces In The Crowd” artwork is… I agree!

Thanks to those who came from near and far — Seattle, Indiana, Los Angeles and the couple who drove directly from Minneapolis just for this. So much love. I have no words. Thank you everyone!

“Faces In The Crowd” will be on display the entire month of November, open on the weekends 12pm-4pm and available to visit during the week by appointment. All work available for purchase in person and online at FolkArtwork.art.

All artwork is available for purchase and will be shipped after the exhibit concludes on November 30th.

FROM “FACES IN THE CROWD”

James Ash always wanted to be an art teacher. For various reasons, including addiction, his mental health, and living without internet in the Michigan woods, he never became an art teacher. So he taught himself how to make art. In 2021, James Ash passed away at the age of seventy-one. His daughter, Anna had the task of cleaning out his cabin and deciding what to do with the two dozen large, colorful, surreal, and enigmatic paintings. The goal has always been to share them with as many people as possible.
